The journal Marine Life publishes in English and French works relating to fundamental and applied research concerning:
› biodiversity, marine biology and ecology, marine biochemistry and chemistry, in relation to the life of organisms, populations or biogeochemical cycles ;
› multidisciplinary studies, systems analysis and modeling of metabolisms or processes;
› sustainable development, management and socio-economic aspects of living resources and marine protected areas;
› ecotoxicology, nuisances and pollution affecting the marine environment.
The journal focuses primarily on the Mediterranean, but also on other ecologically related seas, lagoons and coastal areas, as well as on the stresses and strains that affect them.
The journal also publishes review articles, dossiers and thesis abstracts related to the above themes.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
All documents should be sent by e-mail to marine.life@institut-paul-ricard.org
For co-authored manuscripts, please mention the internet address of the author with whom correspondence will be exchanged.
Articles must include on the first page :
› title in French and English,
› first name(s) and last name(s) – the last name must be capitalized – of the author(s), address(es),
› Authors’ affiliations,
› Corresponding author’s e-mail address,
› abstract (200 to 250 words),
› keywords (five at most) and key words,
› common French and English titles, each less than thirty-five letters long.
The article should be structured according to the following plan:
› introduction,
› material and methods
› results,
› discussion,
› conclusions,
› acknowledgements,
› ethical statement
› bibliography.
For notes (short communications): material and methods, results, discussion and conclusions will be presented in a single section.
In the text, references are cited in chronological order.
They include the name of the author(s) without initials, followed by the year; examples: (Martin, 1985); Martin (1985); Martin (1985, 1990); Martin, Marty (1991).
When there are more than two authors, write: Martin et al., 1986.
For articles by the same author published in the same year: (Martin, 1975 b), Martin (1975 a, 1975 b).
When several articles are referred to, the chronology must be respected: (Martin, 1975, 1990; Aboussouan, 1983).
Unpublished citations may be mentioned: (Martin, personal communication), or those in the process of being published (Martin et al., in press).
Citations from theses, reports and articles with limited distribution should be avoided.
Latin names (genera, species) and common expressions of Latin or foreign origin are italicized.
