Marine Life publishes fundamental and applied research articles in the following fields:
› Marine biodiversity, biology and ecology, marine chemistry and biochemistry, relating to the life of organisms, population dynamics or biogeochemical cycles;
› Multidisciplinary studies, systems analysis and the modelling of metabolisms or processes;
› The commercial exploitation, redevelopment, sustainable management and socio-economic aspects of living resources and of protected marine areas;
› Eco-toxicology, damage and pollution affecting the marine environment.
The publication focuses mainly on the Mediterranean Sea, but also deals with other seas that are ecologically related, lagoons, coastal areas and the destructive impacts that may occur there.

For co-authored papers, specify the address of the corresponding author.
The first page of the paper should include the following information:
› English and French title,
› first name(s) and SURNAME(s) of the author(s), – the surname should be in upper case – address(es)
› Résumé in French and English Abstract (200 to 250 words),
› French mots clés and English key words (maximum five),
› running titles in English and French (maximum 35 letters each).
The structure of the paper should be as follows:
› Introduction
› Material and Methods
› Results
› Discussion
› Conclusions
› Acknowledgements
› Bibliographical References.
For notes (short papers): material and methods, results, discussion and conclusions should be included in one single section.
In the text, references should be cited in chronological order.
They should include the name of the author or authors, without their initials, followed by the year; e.g.: (Martin, 1985); Martin (1985); Martin (1985, 1990); Martin, Marty (1991).
When there are more than two authors, write: Martin et al., 1986. For articles by the same author published the same year: (Martin, 1975 b), Martin (1975 a, 1975 b).
When reference is made to several articles, they should be in strict chronological order: (Martin 1975, 1990; Abousoussan, 1983).
References that are hitherto unpublished or in the process of publication may be cited: (Martin, personal communication), or (Martin et al., in press).
References to theses, reports and papers published for limited circulation are to be avoided.
Latin names (genus, species) and common expressions in Latin or other languages should be in italics.
FIGURES
Each figure should be of excellent quality and include a metric scale.
Legends of tables (numbered with Roman numerals) and figures (numbered with Arabic numerals), written in the language of the article and translated into the language of the Abstract or Résumé, should be submitted in a separate file.
The position intended for each illustration is indicated by means of an arrow in the margin of the paper.
